Letter to your inner child

Why do this?
Sometimes, our inner child carries old fears, doubts, or dreams we’ve forgotten. Writing to them helps us reconnect, show support, and remind ourselves how far we've come.
1. Find a cozy spot.
Grab a notebook, a piece of paper, or even type it out if that feels better. Get comfy with a cup of tea or your favorite music in the background.
2. Start with a gentle greeting.
Imagine yourself as a kid—maybe 5, 8, or even 12 years old. What would they love to hear right now? Start with something like:
"Hey little me, I see you. I've been thinking about you a lot lately..."
3. Acknowledge their feelings.
Think about what your younger self might have been worried about, excited for, or confused by. Let them know it's okay. For example:
"I know you sometimes felt scared about fitting in, but guess what? You turned out to be such an amazing person."
4. Offer love and support.
Give your inner child the reassurance they might have needed back then. Say things like:
"You don’t have to be perfect to be loved. You are enough just as you are."
5. Share some wisdom.
Let them know what you’ve learned along the way. What advice would you give to little you? Maybe:
"Life gets easier when you stop worrying about what others think. Keep doing what makes you happy!"
6. End on a positive note.
Wrap up with some encouragement and love. Something like:
"I love you, and I’m always here for you. Let’s keep growing together."

Revisit a Childhood Hobby

Remember the things you loved doing as a kid—drawing, dancing, building forts, or collecting stickers? Reconnecting with those childhood hobbies can be a powerful way to heal your inner child and spark joy in your life again.
Take a little time to revisit an old favorite without pressure or judgment. Whether it’s doodling, playing an instrument, or just coloring outside the lines, let yourself enjoy it purely for the fun of it.
By embracing these playful moments, you remind your inner child that it’s okay to have fun, be creative, and enjoy life without needing a reason.
